The event dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the Georgian aggression against people of South Ossetia was held in Tiraspol, the Novosti Pridnestrovya news agency reports.
The memory of the defenders and civilians perished in August 2008 was honored near the official representative office of South Ossetia in Tiraspol.
The event was attended by the head of the official representative office of the RSO in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Yankovsky.
In the post-war years, people of Transnistria were near the fraternal Ossetian people, helping to restore the capital of the Republic - Tskhinval.
