South Ossetia's Presidential Commissioners for Human and Children's Rights, Inal Tasoev and Aelita Dzhioeva, took part in the 10th meeting of the Eurasian Alliance of Ombudsmen, on the topic "Protecting the Rights of Residents of Hard-to-Access, Remote, and Rural Areas."

Аs reported to IA "Res" by Inal Tasoev, the conference was attended by the alliance's 10 core members, as well as the ombudsmen from more than 20 countries and ombudsmen from the regions of the Russian Federation.

South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev was awarded the medal "For Assistance to the Special Military Operation."

The award was presented to the head of state by soldiers of the Alania Specialized Regiment during the meeting on Tuesday.

The medal was awarded for a unique outlook on life, significant contribution to support the front, and dedication to ensuring the combat readiness and comfort of Russian service members on the front line.

He has noted that five IPRM meetings have already been held in the village of Ergnet this year, and two more are planned .by the end of the year.

The main result of the Geneva Discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia is that hostilities have not resumed for 17 years, the UN Co-Chair Hailu Mamo stated at the briefing in Tskhinval.

"And this is, in part, a credit to the IPRM format. This is not about the mechanism itself, but about the contribution of all the negotiating participants," Mamo has noted.
