Security issues on the South Ossetian-Georgian border remain top of the agenda for the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) meetings, Yegor Kochiev, head of the South Ossetian delegation, told reporters while summing up the 135th meeting.
According to him, since the previous meeting on September 8, the situation along the state border between South Ossetia and Georgia has remained calm, stable, and predictable.
"Over the past period, we have maintained a relatively calm, stable, and predictable situation. No violations by citizens have been recorded – not a single border violation or detention," Kochiev has noted.
According to him, no violations by the European Union Monitoring Mission or the Georgian law enforcement agencies were recorded during the period under review.
"In this regard, it can be said that the past period was relatively calm and stable," the head of the South Ossetian delegation has emphasized.
However, Kochiev reported one instance of an unmanned aerial vehicle violating the South Ossetian airspace.
"This occurred at a very high altitude, so it was not possible to determine the type of aircraft," he has clarified.
