Ministries of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia have begun preparing a large-scale cultural event — mutual Days of Culture. This was announced by Minister of Culture Rada Dzagoeva.
In June next year, the Days of Culture of the Russian Federation are planned to be held in South Ossetia, timed to coincide with Russia Day. The event will not be a one-off — it will be held in the format of a multi-day program, including concerts, exhibitions, creative meetings and educational events.
“We are actively working on organizing mutual Days of Culture. The Days of Culture of the Russian Federation in South Ossetia will be a vivid testimony of the strong friendship, spiritual closeness and deep cultural ties between our peoples,” Rada Dzagoeva has emphasized.
At the same time, The Days of Culture of South Ossetia are planned to be held in Moscow, where the Republic will present its rich historical and cultural heritage to a wide audience.
"Of course, the main participant of this, I'm not afraid of this word, grand event, will be our State Song and Dance Group "Simd". Through "Simd" we must declare to the world the beauty, power and uniqueness of the Ossetian dance," the Minister said.
"Simd" will play a key role in cultural exchange: as part of the program, its tour of Russian cities is planned for 2025, and in 2026 the group will take part in the all-Russian project "We are Russia", uniting creative groups from all partner regions.
"These are not just concerts - this is a bridge between cultures, a way to strengthen the unity, to show that we are one big family," Dzagoeva added.
Holding the mutual Days of Culture will be the important step in the development of international cultural cooperation and strengthening the international presence of South Ossetia.
