In the capital of South Ossetia, Grigory Tskhovrebov, a soldier with the call sign "Grinya", who died heroically while performing his military duty during the special military operation, has been seen off on his final journey.

Hundreds of people came to pay last tributes to the 36-year-old hero: relatives and friends, comrades-in-arms, the Republic's leadership.
The ceremony was attended by the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev, the Parliament Chairman Alan Margiev, Russia's Chargé d'Affaires in the Republic Denis Fyodorov and other officials.
Remembering Grigory Tskhovrebov, those present noted his cheerfulness, kindness and friendliness.
A public figure, a poet Sergo Plity shared his memories of the hero, emphasizing his courage and unbending spirit.
According to him, Grigory Tskhovrebov passed away very young, leaving his dreams unfulfilled.
“He was very much loved by his friends, relatives and acquaintances. Grigory was brave and strong in spirit,” Plity has noted.
He has added that Grigory went to the special military operation zone to contribute to it, but fate is sometimes unfair.
“Grigory will never return, but we will always remember him,” he said, addressing those present. “They say that real men do not cry, but this is not true. His friends and colleagues cannot hold back their tears. This shows that he was truly a worthy friend and brother.”
The friends and comrades-in-arm emphasized his reliability and responsiveness, noting that he could always be relied upon.
His death is the irreparable loss for all who has known him.
In recognition of his merits and demonstrated heroism, by decree of the head of state, Grigory Tskhovrebov was posthumously awarded the "Defender of the Fatherland" medal.
