The events of seventeen years ago laid the foundation for the current stage of development of the South Ossetian-Russian comprehensive cooperation, according to the press release of the MFA of South Ossetia on the 17th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the RSO and the Russian Federation.
“Based on the strong traditions of friendship and closeness of peoples, rooted in history, South Ossetia and Russia have built relations in a relatively short period of time in the mainstream of strategic partnership based on the principles of openness, mutual trust and support, respect for each other's interests,” the MFA said.
They noted that in today's difficult conditions, South Ossetia and Russia, the fraternal relations of which have stood the test of time, are determined to continue to strengthen the South Ossetian-Russian alliance in every possible way, which meets the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
