South Ossetia's Ambassador to Nicaragua, Narim Kozaev, took part in the opening ceremony of Nicaragua's Homeland Week celebrations, dedicated to the 204th anniversary of the Independence of the Central American countries and the 169th anniversary of the Glorious Battle of San Jacinto.
Kozaev received the invitation from the Nicaraguan Embassy in Russia.
The event, held at the Library of Foreign Literature in Moscow, has included a flower-laying ceremony at the bust of the eminent poet Rubén Darío in the Atrium and a lecture by the Nicaraguan Embassy Minister-Counselor Claudio Antonio Arana on the 169th anniversary of the heroic Battle of San Jacinto.
The celebration has also included the opening of the art exhibition featuring works by the Russian traveler and photographer Sergei Kovalchuk, Nicaraguan ceramics, and traditional costumes.
