The South Ossetian delegation, led by Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev, took part in the flower-laying ceremony at the memorial to those killed in the Patriotic War of the Abkhaz people, the Cabinet press service reports.
"The events marking the Victory Day and the Independence of Abkhazia began with the laying of wreaths and flowers at the memorial to those killed in the Patriotic War of the Abkhaz people in the Park of Glory in Sukhum.
Thousands of Abkhaz citizens and guests of the republic participated in the ceremony," the press service has noted.
Abkhazian President Badra Gunba, Abkhazian Prime Minister Vladimir Delba, South Ossetian Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation Sergei Kiriyenko, and delegations attending the Victory Day and Independence Day celebrations in Abkhazia came to honor the memory of the victims.
