South Ossetia participated in the meeting of the Eurasian Alliance of Ombudsmen

South Ossetia's Presidential Commissioners for Human and Children's Rights, Inal Tasoev and Aelita Dzhioeva, took part in the 10th meeting of the Eurasian Alliance of Ombudsmen, on the topic "Protecting the Rights of Residents of Hard-to-Access, Remote, and Rural Areas."

Аs reported to IA "Res" by Inal Tasoev, the conference was attended by the alliance's 10 core members, as well as the ombudsmen from more than 20 countries and ombudsmen from the regions of the Russian Federation.

"The proposed topic of discussion is very important and relevant. It was interesting to hear about the experience of other countries in protecting human rights in hard-to-reach areas and the steps being taken in various countries to protect them. "The Eurasian Alliance of Ombudsmen is the excellent platform for ombudsmen to share their practical experience, discussing the most pressing issues and proposing solutions," Tasoev has noted.

According to the ombudsman, the 9th scientific and practical conference "Problems of Human Rights Protection: Protecting Human Rights in the Context of Digitalization of Society" will begin on Thursday.

The ombudsmen from more than 60 countries, including South Ossetia, will participate in the conference.
