Maxim Yaremko, a representative of the Investigative Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, shared his experience and new methods for investigating economic and business crimes with the South Ossetian prosecutors. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of South Ossetia.

The supervisory agency has also noted that the Russian specialist provided recommendations and suggested approaches to improving investigative practices, as well as methodological and practical assistance in investigating corruption-related criminal cases.

"Maxim Yaremko has given a lecture on the topic 'How the mechanism for initiating a criminal case in the economic sphere works.'

The Russian specialist cited practical examples from investigative practice, demonstrating the specifics of working on economic crimes," the press service reports.

The Prosecutor's Office staff actively participated in the discussion and asked questions on the topic.

At the conclusion of the meeting, South Ossetia's Prosecutor General Grigory Sobaev recognized Maksim Yaremko's contribution to joint work with the South Ossetian Prosecutor's Office and awarded him a departmental award.

The meeting was held as part of the ongoing interagency cooperation and the provision of theoretical and practical assistance to investigative units of the South Ossetian Prosecutor's Office in investigating corruption-related criminal cases.
