During a meeting between Alan Tibilov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office of South Ossetia, and Dmitry Ivanov, General Director of the World Youth Festival Directorate, in Moscow, agreements have been reached that will open up new opportunities for the South Ossetian youth.
Specifically, despite the reduction in the overall number of participants at the 2026 WYF, 100 places have been allocated for youth from South Ossetia. Furthermore, young citizens from South Ossetia will be eligible to participate in grant competitions offered by the WYF Directorate to support their initiatives, and will also be invited to all key events and programs organized by the Directorate.
A formal cooperation agreement is also planned to be signed in early 2026, formalizing these agreements.
Following the meeting, Alan Tibilov thanked his Russian colleagues for their continued attention to the youth of South Ossetia and invited them to return the visit. Dmitry Ivanov, in turn, emphasized the WFY Directorate's commitment to active and fruitful collaboration.
