The next meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) will be held on Monday at the border between South Ossetia and Georgia, in the village of Ergnet.

The main topic of the discussion will once again be the Georgian police post illegally stationed in the village of Uista, South Ossetia, since late August 2019.

The participants will also address the border security issues and analyze the data on the border violations since the previous IPRM meeting.

The meetings in Ergnet are held as part of the Geneva Discussions on Security in the Caucasus and are attended by delegations from South Ossetia, Russia, Georgia, the European Union, and the OSCE.

The IPRM addresses security issues along the state border between South Ossetia and Georgia.

Additional hotline is in place, allowing the parties to quickly contact each other in the event of any incident.
