Security issues in South Ossetia and Abkhazia were discussed at the meeting between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and the co-chairs of the International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, the Russian Foreign Ministry press service reports.
"The exchange of views took place on the current topics of the Discussions in preparation for the next round, scheduled for March.
The Russian party emphasized the importance of quickly developing and adopting concrete practical measures to ensure lasting security in Abkhazia and South Ossetia," the press service s has noted.
The meeting was attended by Magdalena Grono (Czech Republic), the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, and Christoph Speti (Switzerland), Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus, along with the accompanying UN representatives.
