Despite the current global instability, South Ossetia is maintaining and developing diplomatic dialogue with Syria and Venezuela and aiming to expand into new regions. Acting Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev announced this during the press conference in Tskhinval.
"I confirm that the situation on the Syrian and Latin American fronts remains unchanged: we are maintaining diplomatic dialogue, which we intend not only to continue but also to strengthen. Despite the global instability, contacts, both public and private, are taking place and will continue," Dzhioev said.
The Acting Foreign Minister has noted that expanding into new continents is a priority for the ministry.
South Ossetia intends to systematically explore the opportunities to establish the ties with the countries willing to engage in the constructive dialogue.
According to Dzhioev, interaction with the Russian Federation is of particular importance in South Ossetia's diplomatic practice.
In those regions where the Republic does not yet have its own diplomatic missions, the resources and capabilities of the Russian Foreign Ministry are actively used.
Akhsar Dzhioev has emphasized that such support once again demonstrates the depth and significance of the strategic partnership with Moscow.
