South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev met with Valery Savlaev, official representative of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania in the Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol, a member of the International Public Chamber, and representatives of the International Public Movement "Supreme Council of Ossetians" from the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.
The delegation arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the roundtable, the Presidential press service reported.
The third president of the Pepublic, Leonid Tibilov, a Chairman of the South Ossetian branch of the International Public Movement "Supreme Council of Ossetians," also participated in the meeting.
The head of state thanked the guests, noting that great results could be achieved through the joint efforts.
"Leonid Kharitonovich and I have spoken repeatedly about the problems and challenges facing the today's rapidly developing world. Consulting and asking for advice from elders has always been a correct and honorable thing to do. In a social movement, the older generation will always give the right advice.

We know that by decision of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, 2026 has been declared the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. Its main goal is to strengthen national cohesion, peace, and harmony within the country. We are part of the Russian World, which considers its future with the Russian Federation.
We are one nation, living in North and South Ossetia. We do not divide our homeland into two parts," he said.
For his part, Leonid Tibilov has expressed confidence that the young Republic is awaiting for great success.
"Of course, the social movement is addressing and examining many pressing issues and problems we face." It's great that our brothers from North Ossetia are always around, supporting us and rejoicing our successes.

Valery Savlaev, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome.
"Despite the fact that I've lived in Crimea for 43 years, my heart is here in Ossetia.

Valery Savlaev presented Alan Gagloev with the commemorative medal "100 Years of the KGB FSB Dzerzhinsky Supreme Commander-in-Chief" and wished him strength and patience in his important work.
At the end of the meeting, the President presented the guests with medals "In Commemoration of the 35th Anniversary of the Republic of South Ossetia."
