A meeting between the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev and First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation Sergei Kiriyenko took place in the Kremlin, the Presidential press service reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, Alan Gagloev thanked Sergei Kiriyenko for his comprehensive support of the Republic and constructive cooperation in all areas.

During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation, salary increases and pensions for prosecutorial staff, salary increases for civil servants, and co-financing for increasing pay for the Ministry of Internal Affairs employees were discussed.

During the working meeting, Alan Gagloev noted the relevance of the agenda under discussion, emphasizing that all regulatory work on these issues had been in preparation since the end of 2025.

The head of the Republic also outlined the issue of tax resident and non-resident status within the framework of the Federal Tax Service's automated information system (AIS) "Tax-3," as the majority of Russian citizens residing in the Republic of South Ossetia fall under the non-resident category, which will negatively impact the socio-economic status of these individuals.

In addition to the main agenda, Alan Gagloev and Sergey Kiriyenko discussed a number of key areas of the Republic's domestic agenda, including improving the social sphere.
