South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev held a working meeting with the Republic's Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev.
The main topic of discussion was the implementation of the head of state's foreign policy instructions following the government meeting held the previous day.
During the conversation, measures to strengthen cooperation with the states that had recognized South Ossetia's independence, as well as the plans to expand diplomatic contacts with other countries, were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to the further development of cooperation and integration processes with the Russian Federation.
The Minister briefed the President on the current work of the Foreign Ministry and the planned international contacts.
Following the meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of active diplomatic work and instructed that efforts to strengthen the Republic's external relations.
