South Ossetia paid last tributes to Stanislav Pukhaev, a hero of the special military operation

Stanislav Pukhaev, who had died heroically in the line of duty during the special military operation, was laid to rest in South Ossetia.

Hundreds of residents of the Republic, along with the country's leadership, led by President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to the Republic of South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, comrades-in-arms, and the hero's family and friends, came to share the grief of the deceased's family.

Speaking at the memorial service, Alan Gagloev expressed his deepest condolences to the soldier's family, having emphased that Stanislav's death is a heavy loss for the entire Ossetia.

"Stanislav was a courageous and brave warrior, a true patriot, who remained faithful to his oath and duty until his last breath." We will always remember his heroic deed. Eternal memory to the hero," the head of state said.

Marat Kulakhmetov joined in the condolences. He noted the soldier's dedication and emphasized that his memory would forever remain in the hearts of the people.

Stanislav Pukhaev was 34 years old. Before participating in the special military operation, he served for a long time in the ranks of the OMON special forces, where he proved himself a true professional.

Comrades in arms remember him as a reliable friend, a cheerful and kind person who was always ready to support them in word and deed even in the most difficult times.

For his years of impeccable service, he was repeatedly awarded the state awards.

By decree of President of South Ossetia, Stanislav Pukhaev was awarded the "Defender of the Fatherland" medal (posthumously).

Stanislav is survived by two children.
