South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev spoke by phone with Dagestan's leader, Sergey Melikov, on Monday morning.
He expressed words of support and sympathy to the republic's residents affected by the disaster, the President's press service reports.
"We are always there for our brothers and ready to provide the necessary assistance," the President said.
Sergey Melikov thanked him for the support, having noted that the Republic of Dagestan is currently coping on its own.
The South Ossetian President assured Dagestan's leader of his readiness to provide the necessary assistance and instructed the Republic's Ministry of Emergency Situations to contact their counterparts in Dagestan to provide all possible assistance, if necessary.
