South Ossetia participated in the Youth Conference in Astana

Nina Mohammad, a representative of the youth wing of the Union of Russian Citizens in South Ossetia, participated in the 5th Regional Youth Conference of Russian Compatriots from the near abroad.

As reported to the "Res" news agency by Mohammad, the event took place at the Russian House in Astana and brought together delegates from 11 countries.

"The conference was attended by compatriots from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and South Ossetia," she explained.

According to her, the event's program was structured around key themes: dialogue, development, and the future of the youth movement.

"During the discussions, the participants discussed the role of youth in strengthening interstate humanitarian ties, preserving the historical memory of the heroic deeds of the Great Patriotic War, and preparing for the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight," she shared.

As noted by the conference participant, in addition to the business portion, a cultural program was organized for guests.

The participants visited Astana's landmarks, including the city's central mosque and the "Defender of the Fatherland" monument.

Following the conference, a resolution was unanimously adopted aimed at consolidating the youth movement, preserving historical memory, and developing intercultural dialogue.
