South Ossetian Ambassador to Abkhazia Astamur Katsia and volunteers from Ossetia laid flowers at the monument to the fallen South Ossetian volunteers in the village of Psakhara in the Gagra District, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.
"The head of the Psakhara village administration, Georgiy Rabaya, also took part in the event," the press service has noted.
Abkhazia celebrates the Volunteer Day on August 15. This Memorial Day is dedicated to the volunteers from the North Caucasus, southern Russia, and other countries who came to the aid of Abkhazia during the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia in 1992-1993.
