Veronika Dzhioeva's solo concert in Tskhinval was a sell-out success

A grand solo concert by the world opera star and People's Artist of the Republic Veronika Dzhioeva and the State Male Choir under President of South Ossetia took place in the capital of South Ossetia.

The event was attended by Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, Minister of Culture Rada Dzagoeva, ex- President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov, Rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev, and hundreds of admirers of the artist's work.

The evening's program featured the compositions of various genres and eras.

South Ossetia aims for rapprochement with Belarus, starting with humanitarian and cultural cooperation - Akhsar Dzhioev

South Ossetia intends to take steps toward rapprochement with Belarus, the head of the Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Akhsar Dzhioev,stated.

The Minister has emphasized that, as a first step, humanitarian, cultural and sporting cooperation between the two countries will be strengthened.

"Belarus is the interesting country for us, with shared historical ties," Dzhiev noted.

The Parliament of South Ossetia and the State Duma of Russia will hold their first joint session in Moscow

The first meeting of the Cooperation Commission between the Parliament of South Ossetia and the State Duma of the Federal Council of the Russian Federation will take place in Moscow.

According to the press service of the South Ossetian Parliament, the meeting will take place on December 3 in the State Duma building. The South Ossetian Parliamentary delegation is led by Zita Besaeva, First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament and Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Rule of Law, and Local Self-Government.

The Cultural Bridge between the Ural and Ossetia: The Ural-Caucasus Festival held in Tskhinval

The "Ural-Caucasus: Connecting Threads" festival, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Aslan-Girey Galati Sverdlovsk Cultural Society and the So-Deistvie Center Foundation, took place at the Chermen State Cinema and Concert Hall in Tskhinval.

The Festival guests' introduction to the culture and traditions of the Urals began with the "We Are 20 Years Old!" exhibition, featuring books and materials dedicated to the Ural region and the organizations' twenty years of activity.

The Nevinnomyssk State Humanitarian and Technical Institute and the South Ossetian State University signed the Memorandum of Cooperation

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Nevinnomyssk State Humanitarian and Technical Institute and the A.A. Tibilov South Ossetian State University as part of the 16th International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Caucasian Dialogue" and the implementation of the "Decade of Science and Technology" action plan in Stavropol Krai.

The document was signed by Igor Nikolaevich Minailo, Acting Rector of Nevinnomyssk State Humanitarian and Technical Institute, and Vadim Botazovich Tedeev, Rector of the South Ossetian State University.

South Ossetia paid last tributes to Marik Demeev perished  during the special military operation

South Ossetia has paid last tributes to Marik Demeev (call sign "Zeppa"), who died heroically while serving in the line of duty in the special military operation zone.

Since July 2025, the soldier had been listed as missing in action. It was later confirmed that he had died during a combat mission. His body has only been recently recovered.

The Republic's leadership led by President Alan Gagloev, along with Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, relatives, comrades-in-arms, and hundreds of residents of the Republic attended the funeral service for Marik.

Alan Gagloev presented the state awards to the South Ossetian security forces

South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev held a ceremony awarding representatives of the security forces.

During the event, the head of state congratulated those present on the celebration of the days of Uastyrdzhi, as well as on the recent Day of Courage and National Unity.

The President emphasized the historical significance of November 23.

"Our modern history, the struggle for independence, began on this day. And thanks to God and the Ossetian people, today South Ossetia is the independent state, moving forward together with its strategic partner, Russia," he said.
