In Tskhinval, on Monday, President Alan Gagloev met with the families of soldiers killed in the line of military duty during the special military operation.
The meeting was also attended by Presidential Aide Alan Pliev and children's ombudsman Aelita Dzhioeva.
On behalf of the head of state, lump-sum payments were handed over to the children of the fallen soldiers in honor of Children's Day.
"We could not help but invite you and congratulate your children. These guys should not be ignored; we invited you so that both children and adults do not think that they have been forgotten. Unfortunately, in life, everything does not turn out the way we want; unfortunately, your families have suffered great losses. I am not saying this for the first time, but there is no other way out, you must hold on and be strong," Gagloev said.
The President has added that the Republic's leadership always provides the necessary support to the families of fallen soldiers whenever possible and will continue to do so in the future.
Gagloev called on the relatives of the deceased to contact the leadership without hesitation in case of any difficulties and that the state will do everything possible to solve their problems.
