The Moscow government provided assistance to 23 residents of South Ossetia - veterans of the home front and veterans of the war in Afghanistan. This was reported by the Russian Embassy in the Republic of South Ossetia.
The diplomatic department has noted that the decision to provide targeted financial assistance to veterans was made in connection with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland.
“The Moscow government entrusted the implementation of this honorable mission to the Dialogue of Generations ANO, the head of which Grigory Pliev personally visited the veterans and presented the assistance,” the Embassy has noted .
The event was attended by employees of the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia and the Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia.
