The head of the Official Representation of South Ossetia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Yankovsky took part in the celebrations dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the introduction of the Russian Federation Peacekeeping Forces into Transnistria.
The events began with the traditional ceremony of laying flowers at the Peace Arch "Blessed are the Peacekeepers", installed in 2017 at the exit from Parkany towards Bender.
Vitaly Yankovsky laid fresh flowers at the foot of the Peace Arch.
The peacekeeping operation on the Dniester began 33 years ago. On July 29, 1992, in accordance with the agreement "On the principles of peaceful settlement..." the introduction of the Russian peacekeepers into Transnistria began.
