South Ossetian Defense Minister Yuri Yarovitsky and Zhanna Zasseeva, the head of the Immortal Regiment public organization, discussed stepping up the cooperation between the organization and the Ministry.
According to the Defense Ministry's press service, Zasseeva spoke about the organization's efforts to locate the burial grounds of Red Army soldiers born in South Ossetia, as well as its collaboration with the Republic's military commissariat and the Russian public organizations.
"Considerable attention was paid to military-patriotic education, military history, the heroism of the older generations who were fighting on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War and the heroism of officers and soldiers who are finishing off fascism during the special military operation," the statement reads.
Yuri Yarovitsky expressed his willingness to assist in resolving the public organization's issues.
