The International Economic Forum "South Ossetia. Investment Horizons" has won the award in the "Development and Promotion of Tourist Destinations" category of the prestigious RUPOR competition, Taimuraz Goginov, Chairman of the Forum Organizing Committee, has announced.
"The Forum has received its first professional recognition as a platform for promoting the Republic's investment potential.
This is recognition of the value of our work, which is being carried out to create and strengthen South Ossetia's image as the attractive destination for business and travel," he said.
Furthermore, the project was among the top ten applications for this year's award.
A total of 80 participants were shortlisted for the award: 74 applications from Russia and six from the CIS countries.
RUPOR is one of the oldest awards in the field of communications practices.
The competition was established in 2005 to promote best communications practices in tourism.
