At the government meeting, Acting Minister of Culture of South Ossetia Rada Dzagoeva reported on the Ministry's activities over the past year and presented a cultural development plan for 2026.

The key areas has included strengthening cultural ties with Russia, addressing infrastructure issues, and developing personnel policy.

According to Rada Dzagoeva, the geographic presence of the South Ossetian groups in the Russian Federation continues to expand.

In April, she has clarified, the B. Galaev State Song and Dance Group "Simd" will conduct a major tour of Central Russia, with seven concerts planned.

In April and May, the Presidential Male Choir will participate in the prestigious Valery Gergiev Easter Festival.

Additionally, the large-scale South Ossetian Culture Days will be held in Moscow in May.

"In June, as part of Russia Day celebrations, South Ossetia will host creative groups from the Russian Federation," she said.

The State Drama Theater also continues its participation in the federal "Big Tours" project.

Dzagoeva has clarified that the Ministry of Culture oversees 17 subordinate institutions.

One of the priority tasks for the first quarter of this year is the legal registration of the new building for the choreography school-studio, built with funds of the Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyro Regional Public Foundation.

"The building was donated to the Republic, and now we need to complete all the procedures for its acceptance by the Ministry and assignment to the school. Currently, about 200 children are studying at the studio, with classes running from morning until late evening. The institution is in great demand," Dzagoeva has emphasized.

Rada Dzagoeva noted the growing interest of young people in creative professions, confirmed by data from the Rossotrudnichestvo office on requests for targeted positions.

However, the agency also intends to focus on the domestic educational potential.

To address the shortage of specialists in certain fields, career guidance efforts will be strengthened at the key educational institutions in the Republic: the Felix Albrov Tskhinval College of Music and the Makharbek Tuganov Tskhinval Art College.

"We have every opportunity to provide high-quality secondary vocational education. Our task is to attract applicants to those programs currently experiencing a shortage of specialists in order to improve the situation in the cultural sphere," the Acting Minister has concluded.

She has also noted that the issue of repairing the roof of the Simd State Song and Dance Group building is also urgent and requires a prompt solution.

Acting Prime Minister Dzambolat Tadtaev instructed the Ministry of Culture, in conjunction with the Ministry of Construction, to prepare estimates for repair work as soon as possible.

Tadtaev has assured that, despite the budget constraints, the most problematic projects will be funded as a priority.
