South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev met with Russian Ambassador to the Republic Marat Kulakhmetov. During the meeting, the Ambassador presented the South Ossetian Foreign Minister with a congratulatory message from Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yuri Galuzin on the occasion of the Republic's Diplomatic Worker's Day.

Galuzin's message emphasizes the dedicated work of the leadership and staff of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry in strengthening the country's international standing since the proclamation of the Republic.

"We appreciate the trusting and truly warm nature of the contacts between our agencies. Building on the principle of foreign policy coordination, we will continue to work to deepen the Russian-South Ossetian relations and expand the geography of Tskhinval's international ties," the message reads.

The message focused on the signing of the Treaty of Deepening Allied Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia on May 9, 2026, by Presidents Vladimir Putin and Alan Gagloev.

On behalf of the staff of the Russian Embassy and on his own behalf, Marat Kulakhmetov congratulated Akhsar Dzhioev and the entire staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on their professional holiday, Diplomat's Day, and the 34th anniversary of the Ministry's founding.

The Russian Ambassador noted that, thanks to the joint efforts of the two countries' foreign ministries, it was possible to quickly elevate the Russian-South Ossetian relations to the level of the allied partnership and, currently, to a path of deeper integration.

He expressed hope for further constructive and close cooperation, reinforced by the already established good relations between the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Embassy in Tskhinval.
