The head of the official representation of South Ossetia in Transnistria, Vitaly Yankovsky, took part in the ceremonial events in honor of the 34th anniversary of the start of the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester, the press service of the Republic’s Foreign Ministry reports.
A flower-laying ceremony was held at the Peace Arch “Blessed are the Peacemakers,” installed in 2017 at the entrance to the village of Parkany, and the events continued in Bendery.
Fresh flowers were laid at both the Dove of Peace memorial sign and the monument to General Alexander Lebed at the Memorial of Memory and Sorrow.
