The Ossetian people, who have experienced the bitterness of armed aggression firsthand, share the pain of their Transnistrian brothers and bow their heads in memory of their heroes, the message of Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev to his Transnistrian counterpart, Vitaly Ignatyev, reads.
Dzhioev sent the PMR Minister words of sympathy and support on the Day of Remembrance for the Fallen and Deceased Defenders of Transnistria.
"August 1 is a special date in the history of Transnistria, a day when the Republic honors the memory of those who defended the independence and freedom of their native land during the 1992 conflict, paying the ultimate price," the message reads.
According to Dzhioev, this date will forever remain a symbol of courage, self-sacrifice, and heroism of Transnistria's defenders.
