On the border of South Ossetia with Georgia, since the previous meeting within the framework of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms, no violations have been recorded by the Georgian police and the European Union Observer Mission, the head of the South Ossetian delegation at the meetings within the IPRM, Egor Kochiev, told reporters.

He has noted that the past period was quite calm - there were a minimum of violations of the state border, as well as the detentions.

The meeting will traditionally discuss security issues, statistics of border violations since the last meeting within the framework of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms.

The South Ossetian delegation will once again raise the issue of removing the illegal Georgian police post in the village of Uista from the territory of the Republic.

At the invitation of the House of Latin America The Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia took part in a large-scale festival dedicated to the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The South Ossetian designer, Honored Artist of the Republic of South Ossetia Khokh Bekoev took the 2nd place in a unique fashion show within the framework of the project “Russia - Latin America: design across continents.”

For the costume contest, the designer has prepared a collection, the source of inspiration for which was the place in Peru where the Inca gold is hidden.

On July 20, 2010, important agreements were signed in the city of Managua, marking the beginning of cooperation between South Ossetia and Nicaragua.

The signing of a number of documents became the basis for further strengthening of political, economic and cultural ties between the two states.

Thanks to the agreements, citizens of both countries were able to travel freely without the need for visas, as well as develop trade and economic relations.

South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev met with the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Denis Moncada Colindres. The meeting took place on July 20 as part of the Minister’s working visit to Nicaragua.

A capsule laying ceremony for the construction of the School of Arts building took place in Tskhinval.

The capsule was laid by President Alan Gagloev and Minister of the Chechen Republic for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information Akhmed Dudaev.

The head of state greeted those present, having reminded that quite recently the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov provided enormous assistance to the security forces of South Ossetia.

Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia, Znaur Gassiev, took part in the reception to mark the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista People's Revolution at the invitation of Ambassador of Nicaragua to the Russian Federation, Alba Torres.

In his welcoming address, Gassiev congratulated the staff of the Diplomatic Mission and the friendly people of Nicaragua on this significant event.
