The Bank of Alania has agreed to present the banknote at a specialized event in Holland.

In South Ossetia, the currency unit will be presented as part of the First International Economic Forum.

Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of South Ossetia Soslan Bekoev discussed the promotion of the South Ossetian banknote with the founder of the Zemlyakov Papermoney.pro company Alexey Zemlyakov.

The company carries out the assessment, purchase, sale, grading of bonistic and numismatic material.

A memorial stone was laid in the Kursk region to the Hero of Russia Marat Tibilov cadet corps.

The head of the Russian Guard Viktor Zolotov and acting governor Alexander Khinshtein took part in the laying of the memorial stone.

The institution with a total area of over 60 thousand square meters will include an educational building for 350 students, two residential buildings and a sports building.

South Ossetian weightlifter Alexander Bagaev won silver at the European Championship, the press service of the Republic's Sports Committee reports.

The tournament was held in Madrid. Alexander Bagaev competed in the 94 kg weight class.

"Alexander has demonstrated outstanding form: he lifted 146 kg in the snatch, 184 kg in the clean and jerk, setting a new European record and winning a silver medal - he lost to the current world champion in the final," the press service has noted.

Earlier, Bagaev has also won bronze at the World Youth Championship in Peru.

Bilateral consultations planned within the framework of the work plan for 2024-2025 between the Foreign Ministries of South Ossetia and Russia were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The meetings were held with the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev and his First Deputy Andrei Tskhovrebov.

During the consultations, the parties discussed key issues of interdepartmental cooperation and interaction in the international foreign policy arena.

"Murat Gassiev's next fight will take place on August 23 in Miami. His opponent will be Pole Andrzej Wawrzyk. The fight will be scheduled for 10 rounds," Shchekutyev said.

The head of the Official Representation of South Ossetia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Yankovsky took part in the celebrations dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the introduction of the Russian Federation Peacekeeping Forces into Transnistria.

The events began with the traditional ceremony of laying flowers at the Peace Arch "Blessed are the Peacekeepers", installed in 2017 at the exit from Parkany towards Bender.

Vitaly Yankovsky laid fresh flowers at the foot of the Peace Arch.

The Forum "South Ossetia. Investment Horizons" will become part of the federal information agenda - thanks to partnership with one of the largest agencies in Russia.

The partnership with TASS will allow the Forum to be presented as the significant event on the information map of the region and will increase the openness of South Ossetia to the external international audience.

The Forum will be holding on September 18-20, 2025 in Tskhinval.

The National Bank of South Ossetia will become the general partner of the I International Economic Forum "South Ossetia. Investment Horizons".

The management of the National Bank of the Republic will be widely represented in the business agenda of the Forum.

During the first session, expert discussions will be held on the direction of development of the banking sector.

The guests of the Forum will be introduced to the banking system of the Republic, the main growth points, the introduction of new technologies and innovations.
