The World Art Committee and the World Assembly of Social Recognition have decorated the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity with the gold order and have awarded him honorary title of «the Holder of the international order «Knight of honour." The rewarding ceremony has taken place in the assembly hall of the Government House in Tskhinval. The award to the head of the state has been presented by the President of the North-Caucasian Academy of Creative Work, the Honored Art Worker of Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Abkhazia, Ingushetia, and Dagestan Aues Bejtuganov.

On June, 29, 2011 the resolution on refugees and internally displaced persons from Abkhazia and South Ossetia which project was prepared by Georgia has been adopted at the 65 session of the United Nations General Assembly. The international conference of the Scientific Society of the Caucasus researchers will take place in Tskhinval. The conference is called «Problems of the Caucasus and modern Caucasus exploration, the role of external and internal factors in the region development». The action started yesterday, on June, 30, in the capital of North Ossetia. Today, on July 1, the participants of the conference are intending to continue the dialogue in the capital of South Ossetia. The conference co-organizer on the South-Ossetian part is the South-Ossetian research institute. According to the director of the research institute Robert Gagloev, the question of conflicts, demography and a role of mass-media will be considered at the conference.

The concert of the Caucasian variety stars «The Ode to Tskhinval» will pass today in the capital of South Ossetia -Tskhinval. The action is intended for compelling the south-ossetian party to apply force that will be widely spread by the Georgian and the western mass-media, and responsibility for its possible consequences is planned to shift onto the authorities of the Republic of South Ossetia. It is supposed in Tbilisi that this large-scale provocation can bring Saakashvili's regime political dividends in the course of campaign for world community misinformation about a real state of affairs in the sphere of settlement of relations between Georgia and South Ossetia and to prevent a serious stabilizing role of the Russian Federation in strengthening safety of the Republic of South Ossetia on the border with Georgia.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is considering a question on rendering assistance to the inhabitants of the regions of South Ossetia which has suffered from flood. It has been informed the news agency "Res" by the head of the ICRC press-service Maria Tedety. As she has said, after the flood the ICRC representatives have immediately left in Znaurskiy and Leningorskiy region to estimate the degree of the damage.

Concerning the submitted by Georgia draught resolution of the 65th session of the United Nations General Assembly on refugees and internally displaced persons from Abkhazia and South Ossetia

The delegation of Georgia has prepared and has officially submitted to the secretariat the draught resolution of the 65th session of the United Nations General Assembly- « Position of internally displaced persons from Abkhazia, Georgia and from Tshkinvalskiy region /South Ossetia/Georgia. The draught resolution text is similar to the previous year document. The matter is about refugees - the ethnic Georgians, who have found themselves dislocated in the result of the Georgian army attack upon South Ossetia in August, 2008. Unfortunately, in this draft resolution only the unilateral approach is represented having nothing in common with an actual state of affairs and with concern about the fate of the refugees. Against the background of the Georgian draught resolution about the position of refugees and internally displaced persons one could see only aspiration of Georgia to support its claim on the sovereignty over the territory of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
