Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev took part in the gala reception dedicated to the celebration of the 46th anniversary of the Victory of the Sandinista People's Revolution in Moscow, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.
The guests of the event were the diplomatic corps accredited in Russia, representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Russian authorities, and public organizations.
Akhsar Dzhioev addressed the audience with a welcoming speech on behalf of President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev, having noted that the Republic is grateful to President of Nicaragua, Comandante Daniel Ortega and Co-President Rosario Murillo, as well as to the entire people of Nicaragua for extending a hand of friendship, solidarity, comprehensive support and constructive interaction in the most difficult time.
“The cultural part of the event was filled with performances by the Nicaraguan students - students of the Russian universities, who performed traditional Latin American numbers reflecting the history and culture of the peoples of the continent.
The national gastronomic culture of Nicaragua was also presented,” the Foreign Ministry said.
With the support of Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev and the Trade Representative of South Ossetia Taimuraz Goginov, the guests had the opportunity to appreciate the traditional Ossetian dishes.
The event was also attended by Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia to Nicaragua Narim Kozaev.
