Products of the National Bank of South Ossetia will be officially presented in the leading numismatic stores of the Russian Goznak in Moscow and St. Petersburg. This was stated by Chairman of the National Bank Soslan Bekoev, commenting on the agreements reached during the meeting with the heads of the JSC Goznak.
As he noted, the National Bank had long been looking for a platform for the sale of the South Ossetian coins in the Russian Federation.
“The Moscow and St. Petersburg mints are the places visited by many tourists and a large number of people. It remains to technically work out the issue, there is an agreement in principle, and the products will be presented in the Goznak numismatic stores, including the central store in the Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg, where it is planned to install a small stand on which the products from South Ossetia will be presented,” he said.
A similar platform will also appear at the Moscow Mint. Coins made of precious and base metals will be available there, and in the future, the South Ossetian banknotes.
Chairman of the National Bank has also noted that work is underway to ensure that products from South Ossetia are available on the leading marketplaces.
“Such sales are already being carried out, but mainly for resale. Our task is to provide direct access to one, and possibly several leading marketplaces, so that anyone anywhere in the world can freely access and buy our products,” Soslan Bekoev has concluded, summing up the results of the meetings with Goznak.
