The tragic news of the crash of the An-24 passenger plane in the Amur Region, which had claimed the lives of 48 people, including five children, echoed with deep pain in our hearts, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev noted in the text of condolences to the Governor of the region Vasily Orlov.⠀⠀
“This terrible tragedy has become the irreparable loss for everyone who knew the victims, as well as for the entire Russian people.⠀

On July 24, the An-24 passenger plane of the Angara airline crashed after a second approach to land at the Tynda airport in the Amur Region. All on the board died. The wreckage of the plane was found on a mountainside 16 km from Tynda, rescuers are working at the crash site. In connection with the plane crash, a state of emergency was declared in the Amur Region and a three-day mourning period was declared. A criminal case has been opened.
