Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev sent a message with sincere words of gratitude to Ambassador of Nicaragua Alba Torres in connection with the 17th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Republic of Nicaragua.
In the message, Gassiev has noted that seventeen years ago, South Ossetia took its first steps towards building a sovereign, independent and free state and the people of Nicaragua were among the first to extend a helping hand, which was very timely and extremely important for the residents of Ossetia at that time.
“Common interests, cultural and moral guidelines and mutual respect have allowed our countries to build multifaceted interstate ties over the past years,” the message says.
The message has also expressed the most sincere words of gratitude to the people and leadership of Nicaragua for their continued support and fruitful cooperation.
