Several instances of Georgia violating South Ossetian airspace have been recorded since the last meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM). Yegor Kochiev, head of the South Ossetian IPRM delegation, told reporters following the meeting in the village of Ergnet.
According to him, drones periodically fly into the Republic's territory.
"Several instances have been recorded over the past period, but they were non-aggressive," Kochiev has noted.
He has added that UAV overflights are constantly monitored and a hotline is maintained to ensure prompt response to such incidents.
The head of the delegation has emphasized that despite the recorded violations, the overall situation along the state border remains stable.
"I would like to note that overall the situation remains calm and predictable," the head of the delegation has added.
