Representatives of South Ossetia are participating in the 8th Global Forum of Young Diplomats, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of public diplomacy, the Foreign Ministry press service reports.
The event is being held at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"Representatives of the Council of Young Diplomats of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry, headed by Alexey Sanakoev, are participating in the Forum's opening ceremony. A total of approximately 130 diplomats from 60 countries are participating in the Forum," the press service has stated.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov addressed the organizers and participants of the 8th Global Forum of Young Diplomats, held on the sidelines of the International Cooperation Forum dedicated to the 100th anniversary of public diplomacy.
The Forum is being held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rossotrudnichestvo, the New Generation program, and the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
