South Ossetia's Ambassador to Russia, Znaur Gassiev, met with Sergei Syrankov, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, during his visit to Minsk, the diplomatic service's press service reported.
"During a warm conversation, issues of cooperation were discussed. The parties considered prospects for intensifying ties, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening the partnership and fraternal relations between the peoples of South Ossetia and Belarus," the press service has noted.
Sergei Syrankov presented Znaur Gassiev with the "80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War" medal of the Communist Party of Belarus Central Committee and wished him great success for the benefit of the Fatherland.
Znaur Gassiev expressed gratitude for the high honor and invited Sergei Syrankov to Tskhinval.
Sergei Aleksandrovich Syrankov is a Belarusian political and public figure, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, a candidate in the 2025 presidential elections.
