The Leningor District Court of South Ossetia found the Georgian citizen Konstantin Abaishvili guilty of the illegally crossing the state border, sentencing him to a fine and subsequent deportation, the State Security Committee (KGB) of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.
According to the agency, on January 20, 2026, the South Ossetian border guards detained a 37-year-old Konstantin Abaishvili, a resident of the village of Tsitelubani in the Gori Municipality.
He was detained near the village of Amdzarin in Leningor District.
It was established that the offender had intentionally crossed the South Ossetian-Georgian border. The Leningor District Court has issued the decision imposing a fine followed by deportation on February 24, 2026.
The State Security Committee of the Republic of South Ossetia reiterated that all possible entry points for the state border violators were within the control zones and sectors of the Republic's border forces.
