Teimuraz Kokoev, a well-known South Ossetian scientist and the head of the biology department at the South Ossetian State University, has received the invitation to participate in the 13th International Congress on Microscopy and Spectroscopy (INTERM).
As reported to IA "Res" by Kokoev himself, the scientific forum will be held from April 2 to 8, 2026, in the city of Mugla, Turkey.
The topic of his report is "Soil Micromycetes of the South Caucasus - Their Role in the Ecosystem and Agriculture." According to Kokoev, environmental issues are currently of great interest to the scientific community, and the restoration of soil micro biota is a key research objective.
"Our work presents the results of research on the role of soil microscopic fungi in maintaining ecological balance and their importance for agriculture. This is the second time I've participated in a congress like this in Turkey," he has noted.
Furthermore, the professor received the offer to join the editorial board of the scientific journal "International Journal of Network Advances" as the editorial board member or reviewer. The letter emphasizes that his participation will contribute to maintaining the journal's high scientific standard.
