A South Ossetian delegation took part in a celebratory event at the Nicaraguan Embassy in Moscow dedicated to the 47th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution.
The reception was attended by South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev, the Republic's Ambassador to Russia Znaur Gassiev, and the Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia to Nicaragua Narim Kozaev, the diplomatic service's press service reported.
"Representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Russian government agencies, public organizations, and the diplomatic corps accredited in Russia attended the event in honor of Nicaragua's national holiday," the press service has noted.
On behalf of Acting President of the Republic Marat Kambolov, Akhsar Dzhioev conveyed greetings and congratulations to Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia (concurrently) Alba Torres Mejía to President of the Republic of Nicaragua, Comandante Daniel Ortega, and Co-President of the Republic of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo.
