South Ossetia and Russia are developing a new program for socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia until 2030, focused on the real sector of the economy and digitalization. The head of the South Ossetian state, Alan Gagloev, spoke about this during a briefing following the results of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC).

The President announced the imminent completion of the current state program for 2022-2025.

The next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission with South Ossetia confirmed successful development and set new ambitious goals, said Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak.

The 23rd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for the Development of Trade and Economic Cooperation between Russia and the Republic of South Ossetia was held on the sidelines of the Caucasus Investment Forum (CIF).

Novak expressed gratitude to President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev for his personal participation, which "gave impetus to the work of the commission".

South Ossetia has been working on the agreement on simplified acquisition of Russian citizenship for citizens of the Republic for more than three years, Chairman of the RSO Parliament Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-parliamentary Relations Zaza Driaev said at the press conference in Sputnik-South Ossetia.

All intergovernmental agreements and decisions that Russia makes are aimed at supporting South Ossetia and Abkhazia, the State Duma Deputy, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Artem Turov said during the video press conference Moscow-Sukhum-Tskhinval.

The video conference discussed the entry into force of the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on simplified acquisition of Russian citizenship for citizens of these republics.

The draft of the new State program for socio-economic development of South Ossetia until 2030 is ready for discussion with the possibility of making adjustments, President of the Republic Alan Gagloev announced at the XXIII meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia.

At the 23rd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak noted the significant achievements of South Ossetia over 16 years of independence, including the modernization of infrastructure, improvement of public administration, strengthening of the financial and social sectors, as well as increasing defense capability.⁣⁣⠀

The meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in the expanded format has started at the Minvody Expo site.

The Russian delegation is headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak, the South Ossetian delegation is headed by President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev.

The main topics of the Intergovernmental Commission: the formation of projects for socio-economic development of South Ossetia until 2030.

Particular attention will be paid to cooperation in energy, construction and customs.

The famous Russian dance group "Beryozka" will perform in South Ossetia for the first time with a large solo program. This was reported by the press service of Ministry of Culture of the Republic of South Ossetia.

The concert is timed to coincide with Russia Day.

"The event will undoubtedly become a bright cultural event," the press service has noted.

At the invitation of the leadership of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography, the Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia took part in the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition -Forum "Spatial Data: MIIGAiK - Territory of Innovations" 2025, the press service of the diplomatic agency reports.
