In South Ossetia, the name of Taimuraz Kusov is associated with many years of activity in the Joint Control Commission for the peaceful settlement of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict, where the qualities of his personality - wisdom, competence, talent as a negotiator, deep human decency and patriotism - were fully manifested.

This is stated in the telegram of condolences by President Alan Gagloev to the family and friends of the political and scientific figure Taimuraz Kusov in connection with his death.

The operational situation on the state border of South Ossetia is characterized as stably tense. This was reported to President Alan Gagloev by First Deputy Chairman - Head of the KGB Border Service Romeo Khugaev.

According to him, during the reporting period, two violators of the state border regime and two violators of the border regime were detained.

“A criminal case under Article 332 was initiated against one violator of the state border,” Khugaev has specified. “By court decision, a preventive measure was chosen for him - two months of imprisonment.”

A memorial event dedicated to the memory of the Beslan tragedy victims will be held in Tskhinvali on September 3.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of South Ossetia, will bring together high school students, teachers and representatives of the public of the republic.

As reported to IA " Res" by Zamira Budzhieva, a representative of the Ministry of Education, the memorial rally will take place on Cathedral Square at 13:00.

A meeting of rector Vadim Tedeev with the representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic in Italy Mauro Murgia and President of the Association "Veneto - Russia" Palmarino Zocatelli was held at the South Ossetian State University, the press service of the University reports.

The South Ossetian delegation, headed by Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev, took part in the farewell ceremony for the Republic's Ambassador to Abkhazia Oleg Botsiev, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.

"On behalf of the Republic's President, Alan Gagloev, the delegation expressed deep condolences to the family and friends of Oleg Botsiev," the press service has noted.
