For the last week three violators of the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia were detained and handed over to the Border Guard Service of KGB of South Ossetia. As IA "Res" has been informed at the press service of the KGB of South Ossetia, the two detainees are the citizens of Georgia, and one - a citizen of South Ossetia.
A group of Russian and South Ossetian journalists have visited the day before the districts of South Ossetia. The trip was organized as part of a press tour of the Republic organized for Russian journalists.
First of all, the journalists visited a sector of the state border of South Ossetia and Georgia between the settlements Argvis (South Ossetia) and Ditsi (Georgia).
South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov met with media practitioners of the Republic. The President congratulated them on their professional holiday – the Day of the media, noting a large contribution of journalists to formation of the statehood of South Ossetia.

July 19 in Moscow was held the eighth meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on socio-economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia. The Parliament of South Ossetia adopted a law on issuance of commemorative and investment coins made of precious and non-precious metals. The issue was brought up for discussion at the today's meeting of the presidium of the RSO Parliament by Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Budget and Taxes Vadim Tskhovrebov.
In the period from 10th to 16th July six violators of the state border were detained in the territory of South Ossetia and handed over to the State Security Committee of the Republic.

July 18 was held a telephone conversation between the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia Murat Dzhioev and the EU co-chairman of the Geneva international discussions on security in Transcaucasia Philippe Lefort. As IA "Res" has been informed at the office of the RSO Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement, during the conversation Murat Dzhioev and Philippe Lefort exchanged views on the current state of the Geneva talks and discussed issues related to the next round of negotiations.
