The famous Ossetian boxer Murat Gassiev will meet Pole Andrzej Wawrzyk in Miami in August in his next fight. This was reported to Match TV by Secretary General of the European Boxing Confederation (EUBC), a promoter Kirill Shchekutyev.
"Murat Gassiev's next fight will take place on August 23 in Miami. His opponent will be Pole Andrzej Wawrzyk. The fight will be scheduled for 10 rounds," Shchekutyev said.
At the end of October 2024, Gassiev knocked out Dane Kem Ljungqvist in the fifth round at the IBA Night of Champions tournament (now IBA.PRO) in Yerevan.
Before that, he entered the ring in September 2023 and lost to Swede Otto Wallin by split decision.
Murat Gassiev was the WBA and IBF champion in the first heavyweight division.
Since 2020, he has been competing in the heavyweight class.
In the professional ring, the 31-year-old boxer has won 31 victories and suffered two defeats.
