A meeting of rector Vadim Tedeev with the representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic in Italy Mauro Murgia and President of the Association "Veneto - Russia" Palmarino Zocatelli was held at the South Ossetian State University, the press service of the University reports.
"Vadim Tedeev told the guests about the activities of the University, prospects and plans for international cooperation with the state universities of Italy. He offered training at the level of optional classes in Italian for students of the South Ossetian State University, interested in learning the designated language, and students of the Italian state universities in learning the Ossetia language, as one of the most ancient languages of the Iranian group of Indo-European languages," the press service reports.
The guests were accompanied by translator Oleg Igumenov, the head of the external relations department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Taimuraz Dzhidzhoev, employee of the state protocol department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Iosif Gagloev.
The meeting was attended by the head of the science department of the South Ossetian State University, a dean of the faculty of Russian philology, journalism and foreign languages Irina Bekoeva and the head of the South Ossetian State University Media Holding Alla Dzhioeva.
