The four-day international exercises of Special Forces of the enforcement agencies of Ministries of Justice of Abkhazia, Russia and South Ossetia have ended in Sukhum.
The exercises were dedicated to the memory of the first president and national leader Vladislav Ardzinba.
South Ossetia was represented by employees of the Bailiff Service headed by Vadim Dzhagaev.
As reported by press service of the South Ossetian Ministry of Justice, the main goal of the exercises is to strengthen cooperation and develop a unified approach to actions in difficult conditions, as well as exchange of experience, improvement of tactical training, increase in the level of teamwork and practical training of interaction in conditions different from everyday service.
"I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Abkhaz side for the invitation and the opportunity to participate in this kind of exercise. This is a huge experience for us. Our Bailiff Service does not currently have its own special unit, but we are planning to create one, and our participation in the exercises is a huge step towards the intended goal. It is very important that our fighters gain experience, strengthen the coherence of their actions and interaction with colleagues, and that we be able to adopt the experience gained," the press service quotes Dzhagaev as saying.
During the exercises, the fighters exchanged practical experience in conditions as close as possible to real combat situations, practiced professional skills in combat in a confined space, neutralizing threats without risk to the civilian population, as well as actions under conditions of increased psychological pressure, a tactical forced march with overcoming a walking route in mountainous terrain, climbing a mountain and raising the flags of the participating agencies.
The exercises are planned to be made annual and with a larger number of participating countries.
T It should be reminded that the first international exercises of special units and rapid response teams of the Bailiff Service of Ministry of Justice of Abkhazia, the Federal Bailiff Service of the Russian Federation and the Bailiff Service of South Ossetia were being held in Sukhum from September 4 to 7, 2025.
The event was organized by Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Abkhazia.
